Melissa Catherine is a southern belle born and raised in Louisiana, hailing from the vibrant city of New Orleans. Her athletic background in track and field instilled the discipline and dedication that would rather serve her well in the pursuit of a career in acting.

It was during Melissa’s time in Los Angeles that she discovered her passion for acting. In a Carolyne Barry workshop, where she was introduced to the renowned Don Bloomfield, Melissa studied the Meisner technique. She also had the privilege of studying Improv with Donovan Scott, an experience that continues to inform her approach to character development. 

As an actor, Melissa brings a unique set of skills to the table including proficiency in accents (American Southern, West African, British) as well as a proficiency in salsa and hip-hop dance. When she’s not working on set or in class, you can find Melissa devouring plays and attending performances to continue improving her craft and staying inspired.

With her diverse background, extensive training, and passion for storytelling, Melissa is excited to take on new roles and challenges in the entertainment industry.
